• Created Insurance Value Chain – Microsoft’s go-to-market strategy in the insurance industry for over a decade
• Created OLE for Life Insurance (OLifE) - a standard for integrating desktop applications.  Turned over to ACORD providing the basis for their entry into life insurance standards
• Led solutions group responsible for Microsoft Internet Finance Server Toolkit – used by several top 10 and many regional banks as their first online banking platform, and the BizTalk Adapter for SWIFT, currently used by 60 customers and central banks worldwide

• Enhanced Insurance Value Chain to include open source SDK, easing implementation of ACORD industry standards on MSFT platform.  Built several demos to show how new technologies can be used to solve business problems - widely used by the field to generate leads and close sales

• WW spokesman for Microsoft in Financial Services Industry.  Featured keynote speaker and panelist at WW industry events.   Responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with leading analysts – Gartner, Celent, Tower, IDC, SMA, Novarica – and leading industry publications
• Selected and developed strategic relationships with key SI’s and ISV’s.  Helped design and implement ISV Development and Acceleration Program (IDAP) – a formal framework for assisting strategic partners with R&D efforts on the Microsoft platform

• Established Microsoft Insurance Value Chain – business and technical initiative to pre-integrate .NET ISV applications in the insurance industry using industry standards
• Conceived, negotiated and executed Encompys - a joint venture between Microsoft, Accenture, Compaq, Advent, and Bank of New York – and served on Board of Directors 
• Negotiated Microsoft’s’ participation in iDeal – a joint venture with Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney and Thompson Financial.   Served on initial Board of Directors
• Negotiated strategic investments with AspenTech and ABB –important manufacturing ISVs

• Established relationships with large insurance accounts at executive level.  Worldwide Industry spokesman for Microsoft 
• Pioneered working with standards bodies to drive strategy, through relationship with ACORD.  Developed OLifE and ACORD ObjX – industry standards based on Microsoft’s OLE and ActiveX technologies
• Initiated efforts to recruit ISV partners to the MSFT Platform
